Safeguarding level 1 is designed to ensure every person who is acting on behalf of Blossom LGBT CIC or Trans In the City understands how we expect them to handle scenarios where they suspect a person is victim to abuse.

Being brand new to the LGBTQIA+ community can feel a bit overwhelming. This module encourages you to explore what the acronym means & the basic experiences of LGBTQIA+ people. 

This course is designed to ensure that mentees from global majority communities recieve fair and equitable treatement whilst they're recieving mentoring. This session explores what race equity is, the context behind the needfor this course, and being an ally to people of colour. 

Active listening is a communication technique where the listener fully engages with and comprehends the speaker's message. It involves giving undivided attention, maintaining eye contact, and showing empathy through verbal and non-verbal cues. Active listeners refrain from interrupting, offer feedback, and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. 

Delivering feedback is a fundemental part of helping people to develop skills. The way in which you deliver feedback can impact on a persons performance and future confidence. 

This course explores the basic skills required to coach individuals. The purpose of coaching is centred on achieving highly specific goals therefore you can use coaching when an individual has a more specific target in mind.
